She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Newburgh. She graduated from Memorial High School in 1948 and retired after 18 years as a bank teller for Old National Bank. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George H. Market, in 1991, and Noble Hunt in 2008, and brothers, Goble, Ralph, and Donald Floyd, and Robert Garnett.
Shirley is survived by son, G. Thomas Market of Lynnville, IN; daughter, Kathleen Dockery (Bruce) of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Chad Dockery (Stephanie) of Mooresville, IN, Kelly Wonder (Kevin) of Newburgh, IN; four great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph M. Floyd (Jenny) of Evansville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Monday, July 23, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Thomas Kessler, with burial at St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
