

Sylvester “Corky” Robinson, Jr., 74, of Newburgh, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. He was born April 22, 1948 in Evansville to the late Sylvester Robinson, Sr. and Virginia Lee (Marshall) Robinson.
He served in the US Navy and was a retired boilermaker with Local #374, of which he took great pride in. Corky was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing and had a passion for deer hunting. He loved spending time with his grandkids and spending time at deer camp and later at the cabin. He also absolutely loved roller skating. When his kids, nieces and nephews were young, he would take them twice a week to USA Roller Skating Rink. He was a roller skating fool!
Sylvester was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Robinson Wright; great-granddaughter, Greyson Phillips, and brother-in-law, Ronnie Wynn.
He is survived by his son, Sylvester “Rusty” Robinson III (Carla); daughter, Crystal Lee Adams; grandchildren, Jordon Marie (Behagg) Phillips (Jesse); Olivia (Behagg) Wagner (Casey), Logan Behagg (Madison), Jacob Treadway, Jaxon Wright, Taylor Adams, Alec Adams, Justin Thacker, Zoe Robinson (Blake Bentley), Lillian Robinson, Samuel Robinson, Brandon Robinson, Antoni Hachem and Ella Robinson; 5 great grandchildren, with 1 on the way; sisters, Sylvia Bell and Sondra Felker; brother-in-law, Kenneth Wynn (Kim) and nieces and nephews, Scott Dillback (Tammy), Michelle (Felker) Ellis (Rick), Kim (Dillback) Strauss, and Dan Felker (Katie).
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2023 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Steve Ary with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may visit 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2023 and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
