

He was a devoted member of Crossroads Christian Church. Tim spent most of his career in professional sales and retired as a partner from Express Payment Network. He was deeply involved in Masonic organizations, holding membership in Newburgh Masonic Lodge No. 174, the Evansville Scottish Rite, Evansville York Rite, LaValette Commandery No. 15 Knights Templar, and the General Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons International. He was also active with the Hadi Shrine Circus, where he served in public relations for over 25 years and was a member of the hospital staff.
Outside of his professional and fraternal commitments, Tim had a passion for street rod cars and was a proud member of the Road Knights. He was also a member of the Red Brush Rifle Range.
Tim was preceded in death by his son, Timothy R. Hermes, Jr.; step-mother, Delores Hermes; and nephew, Michael Wallace.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Brenda G. (Harris) Hermes; daughter, Shea Hermes; grandson, Spencer Hermes; step-children, Lori Strader (Lonnie) and Jessica Sweeney (Evan); step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; sister, Pamela Paluck (Vic), and niece, Lisa Garcia (David); and great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev. Phil Heller and Rev. Richard Puryear. Family and friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
