Tucker Ryan Madden, 28, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on March 3, 2025 at the Emergency Room of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital due to complications with his type-1 Diabetes. Born on March 28, 1996 in Evansville Indiana, Tucker was the youngest son of Doug and Christine Madden.
Following the overdose death of a close friend, Tucker chose to volunteer with the Evansville Recovery Alliance group to raise awareness of drug overdose deaths and to get Narcan made more readily available to those in need.
Tucker enjoyed spending time in nature: hiking and camping, sitting around a campfire with his guitar. He played multiple instruments but his favorite was his acoustic guitar. He was passionate about music, playing it, listening to it and attending concerts with friends.
He is survived by his mother and father, Christine and Doug Madden; his brothers, Ethan and Dylan Madden; his grandparents, Gary and Carolyn Madden of Lynnville Indiana and Martha Jane Tucker of Ireland Indiana; as well as aunts and uncles, Tim and Lori Kruse, Steve and Lisa Madden, Paul and Laura Tucker and Karl and Jane Foster, and many cousins who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfather James Tucker.
Family and friends will begin the process of scattering his ashes in places that had meaning to Tuck and in places he wanted to go to but never got the chance.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) or the Evansville Recovery Alliance in Tucker's memory.
