She worked at Lowes Home Improvement where she enjoyed working for the past 13 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, bird watching, and spending time doing word puzzles. She formerly owned Wanda’s Stained Glass, in Fairfield, IL, where she taught others the art of glass work.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Margrette Franklin.
She is survived by her son, Dale, Jr. (Roanna) Toomey; daughters, Dana (Mark) Harper and Dawn (Brett) Phipps; grandchildren, Kyle, William and Jacob; sister, Becky (Dan) Biskup; brother, George Whistle, Jr.; and step-father, George Whistle, Sr.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, followed by graveside services at Rose Hill Cemetery.
