Aldona "Donna" Gagel Braun

Aldona "Donna" Gagel (nee Douglas) Braun, Age 87, of Oak Lawn passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Donna died peacefully in her sleep with her faithful son John by her side. Beloved wife of 27 years to Joseph Braun and the late Vito Gagel; loving mother of Theresa (Richard) Bland, John Gagel and Rita Moubry; devoted grandmother of Tom Bland, Jennifer (Dean) Kleinhenz, Dan, Shawn and Jeremy Gagel and Joseph Vito Moubry; adored great-grandmother; dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Donna's memories will be cherished by Jim Golich, Dorene Gohlman and her foster child, Ron Wic. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was very giving and full of love. She raised foster and adopted children. Donna loved spending her summers at her summer home in Wonder Lake with her family. Donna loved people and loved to travel. In her leisure, she enjoyed bowling with her loving husband Joe and their dearest friends. Donna was a member of the Red Hat Society, St. Therese's Society of the Little Flower, former member of Lithuanian (L.A.R.C.) Chapter 75 and a health club enthusiast at Bally Total Fitness.
