

Ann T. Costello (née Foy), age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2025. She was born in Swinford, Co. Mayo, Ireland, to the late James and Mary Foy. Ann was a long-time resident of the south side of Chicago and currently resided at Franciscan Village in Lemont, Illinois.
Ann was the beloved wife of the late John Costello (born in Furbo, Co. Galway, Ireland); loving mother to John (Jenny) Costello and Michael Costello; cherished grandmother to Jessica (Cody) Meincke, Grace, Brigid, Liam, and Julia Costello, and a proud great-grandmother to River Meincke, who brought her immense joy.
She was a dear sister to Mary (the late James) Browne, James Foy, Patrick (Maureen) Foy, and the late John (Maureen) Foy, and a fond aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many.
A devout Catholic, Ann found great comfort and strength in her faith and truly enjoyed attending church. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas of Tolentine and St. Symphorosa. One of the greatest joys of her life was her family, whom she loved beyond measure.
Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her and will be remembered for her devotion to family, faith, her caring, watchful heart and a good, strong cup of Barry’s tea.
A visitation will be held at the Franciscan Village-Mother Theresa Home chapel, located at 1270 Franciscan Dr, Lemont, IL, 60439, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Following the visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the same location at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at St Mary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums, at 87th Street & Hamlin, Evergreen Park, IL.
