Carmen Z. Santamaria passed away peacefully on September 25, 2021. Loving wife of 58 years to Enrique E. Santamaria; Beloved mother to Enrique (Annette) Santamaria, Hector Santamaria, Carmen (Daniel) Pagán, and the late Jesus Santamaria; Cherished grandmother to Anneliese, Sophia, Hector Jr., Jesus, Stephanie, John Angel, and Angela; Great-grandmother to Scarlett, Isabella, Xochitl, and Hector III; Dear sister to Emma (the late Ernesto) Zúñiga de Vining, Olga (late Eustolio) Chapa, Alfonso (Leticia) Zúñiga, Sofia (Arturo) Martinez, Rosario (Mario) Garcia, Magdalena Zúñiga, Hugo F. Zúñiga, Elizier (Mireya) Zúñiga, and Dr. Sergio (Dr. Martha) Zúñiga; Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso Zúñiga Flores and Sofia Guajardo de Zúñiga.
Visitation for Carmen will be from 4-9 PM on Wednesday, September 29th, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd, Oak Lawn. Family and friends will be gathering at Epiphany Catholic Church, 2524 S. Keeler Ave., Chicago, on Thursday, September 30th, for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
