It's impossible for me to recall my memories of Denny without a smile.  I will always remember the time he took me to the firehouse. As a 10 year old boy it was the best thing ever.  And as an adult he was always willing to give me advise, give his opinion and most of all his guidance.  He taught me a lot about life and for that I will always be thankful.  His friendship will always be cherished.

It it was a pleasure to work with you when our paths had crossed while members of the Chicago fire department. Rest easy, God bless you. Condolences to the entire family.

Even though he was Uncle Denny, to many friends and firefighters they called him Uncle Denny as well. I remember the first time he let me  stay and fan at the firehouse I was hooked. I can’t thank him enough for introducing me to the fire service.  I always remember Christmas at my Uncle and Aunts house on Kilpatrick. This was a time when you knew  every  cousin you had 1st, second and third. Even kids and family from the Warfield side. You called them Uncle Charlie and Uncle Rich. Basically everyone at the party was a cousin, Aunt or Uncle, at least that’s what you called them and how things were.  I miss those days. And who was Santa every year at the party well that is still a mystery! Thank you for being my Uncle.

I always looked forward to spending the Thanksgiving holiday at Lake Lawn Lodge. The nicest part of it was having the entire family together. My Uncle Dennis was a huge part of these memories. I knew when I pulled in that Uncle Denny and Aunt Kathy would be the first people that we would see since they came a day early. It was really something to look forward to. Once we arrived, my uncle would always ask me what teams to bet on for the Thanksgiving Day NFL games.  The family Christmas parties on Kikpatrick also stir up fond memories. It gave me a chance to see my Aunt's side of the family, which only happened once a year.  It was nice to have the Fitzgerald's and Warfield's together once in a while. Uncle Denny always made sure that everyone had a good time and made it a point to welcome my wife into his home once we started dating.  My dad and his brother Dennis shared many qualities. The biggest being the fact that they would do anything for you. I have witnessed both of them giving of themselves unconditionally to family and friends, especially their grandchildren. When I had gutter and roof issues, Uncle Denny came over to my house the next day. Im sure he dropped everything he was doing. This was just who he was.  I will miss my uncle but I know that he's in a great place right now where he is peaceful and comfortable.

Mr. Warfield was a great man and a second father to me. My heart and condolences go out to Mrs. Warfield, Mary, Dennis, Jen, Lexi, Olivia, and the entire Warfield family.  God bless all of you.

I HAVE BEEN VERY FORTUNATE TO KNOW  DENNY THROUGH OUR LADIES BUNCO GROUP, FOR MANY YEARS.  HE ALWAYS  WAS SO CHEERFUL WHEN HE WOULD COME  TO GREAT US LADIES ,WHEN WE ENTERED THEIR HOUSE.   

HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE,  HUGS--HE IS A MAN THAT WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Papa, 
I once heard someone say, “a girls first love is always her grandpa”, and that is nothing but the truth. For my whole life you have always been there for us, loving us. I’ll always remember waking up as you where there with a box of donuts in the kitchen, those endless sleepovers, playing cards with you, and hearing all your incredible stories that never failed to make me laugh. Life with you was truly a gift. No amount of time with someone you love is never enough, and I’m grateful for the 18 years I got with you, Papa. You are the best Papa a girl can ask for. Thank you for being the best Papa and for always putting a smile on my face. Thank you for your unconditional love. Thank you for always taking care of us. I love you so much and I can’t wait to hug you again. Don’t worry we’ll take care of Nammy down here. 💙

Since day one I have adored you.  Too countless sleepovers,  dropping off donuts nearly every other day for us, being at all my sporting events, and never missing a special occasion for me and Liv! My childhood is filled with nothing but love because of you💗 I will hold onto our memories forever! I will miss sitting and talking with you  the most papa. Heaven has gained the most special person. I will you miss everyday papa 💗 Me and Liv are so lucky to call you papa💗💗

I was the lucky one to have gained you as my father-in-law. From day one you treated me as your own. From countless sams club runs and lunches you would never let me pay, fixing everything and anything that was broke at our house, putting together anything I bought even if it came in 1000 pieces, no matter what I needed day or night(coming over in the middle of the night when I was alone because power was out and alarms where going off I had no idea how to stop them, to loving our girls  to the end of the earth, and so much more. I will miss you everyday. Heaven gained an amazing guy, watch over us!
