Eleanor F. Tripam

Born on February 23, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, Eleanor lived a life filled with family and service to others. She worked at Lawn Aqua Pool and Harold L. Richards Cafeteria.

Eleanor had a deep love of music, expressed through her beautiful piano playing, vinyl collection, and dancing. She also cherished holiday decorating and family gatherings. She was a devoted supporter of the armed forces and veterans.

Eleanor was the loving mother of late JJ (infant) and late Alfred Jr.; William, Michael, Joseph (Dee), Susan (Frank) DiCristina, Jean, Cindy (Mark) Knapczyk, and Caroline (Andrew) Griffin. She was a proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild (with another on the way), and all four-legged creatures.

Visitation will take place Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. The funeral will follow on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the funeral home with prayers starting promptly at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Eleanor’s memory.
