George Masias, age 97, of Brookston, IN formerly of Chicago; passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Navy Veteran of World War II and Korean War, recipient of 9 battle stars, serving on the USS Princeton. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine nee LaBerta; loving father of George (Colette) Masias, Valentina Masias, Charles Meir, Petra Hernandez, Deborah Ellis, Fred (Donna) Vaughn, Theresa (Jaime) Mariscal, Russell (Debra) Masias and Michael Fiame; cherished grandfather of many; proud great-grandfather of many.
George had a special love for animals and he was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.
