Helen Josephine Arundel

Helen Josephine Arundel (nee Lavin), age 79, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021. Helen was born August 27, 1942. Adored daughter of the late Luke and Della Lavin; Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Peter A. Arundel; Loving Mother of Mary Ann (Jim) Opoka, Eileen (Brad) Lochow, Patty Lochow, Peter (Mie), Brendan (Brittney) and the late Tommy Arundel; Cherished grandmother to Matt (Mary Kate), Luke (Amy), and Jimmy Opoka, Ryan Lochow, Kelley (Mike) Ustanik, Brooke, Bailey, Peter, Kate, Teagan, McKenna, Madison, Konnor and Thomas Arundel; Great-grandmother to Mackey and Luke William Opoka; Dear sister to the late Tom (the late Joanne) Lavin, and the late Ann (survived by William) Arundel; Sister-in-law to Bea (the late Joe) Arundel. Helen is survived by her cousin Marge Doherty and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the friends and staff at Saratoga Grove and Advocate Hospice for all the love and care she received.

A visitation for Helen will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, with a Funeral Service to Immediately follow beginning at 11:00am. Interment private at this time.
