James Albert Lilek passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 19, 2026. Cherished son of Babe and Al Lilek; dearest brother of Barbara (the late Ron) Miles, Robert (Susan), David (Jo Ann), Donna (Mike) Kerstein, Gary (Angie) and the late Joan Lilek; cherished uncle of Kimberly (Ben) Moehlmann, Pamela (Chris) Chase, Christine (Joe) Jacobs, Paul (Crissy), Grace (Alex) David, Kelly Kerstein, Bob, Paige and Evan; great uncle of Ernie, Dolly, Geneva David and Peter Joseph David. Loved by all. James loved baking, drawing and his faith was very important to him.
Visitation Sunday 4/26/2026 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Funeral Mass Monday 4/27/2026 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Christina Church, 3342 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655. Interment to take place at a later date at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
