John Patrick Coriell

John was born August 4, 1953 in Chicago, IL to the late Oscar and Mary Coriell.

Loving father to John (Jennifer) Coriell, Jeff (Linda) Coriell, and Jennifer (Brian) Villafan; proud grandfather to Layla, Mallory, Ian, Hank, Andrew; devoted brother to the late Maureen (Bob) Bartels, Katie (William)Dunvant, the late Maxine (Tom) Pantaliono, the late Thomas Coriell, Elizabeth (the late Robert) McElroy, Trish (Jim) Clettenberg; half brother to Michael (Judy) Kimber; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

John honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a fork lift operator at Central Steel for many years of service. John was a long time member of the Midway Social Club. He was a past volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and volunteered at many food pantries. John like to socialize with his friends playing poker and golfing, and spontaneous trips to Las Vegas. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Blake Lamb Funeral Home (4727 West 103rd Street; Oak Lawn, IL 60453). Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Blake Lamb Funeral Home. Burial will be in Abraham National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
