Mr. Lonosky was a great teacher and a wonderful man. I had him at Owens in 1966. Words cannot express how much he influenced me. Thank you sir. Rest in peace. God bless. 

I was a 6th grade student of Mr. Lonosky's at Marjorie Owens School in the late 60's and his dedication and passion for teaching always came through during classtime.  Most importantly, he was always so personable and cared about us. He was one of those great teachers that leaves a lasting impression.  My condolences to his family.

so sorry to hear of Mr Lonosky passing.  He was a huge part of the lives of so many of us kids & was always there for us with a smile on his face (even when some of us were not so well behaved).  Many thoughts & prayers to the rest of the Lonosky family in their time of need.

I knew John as his principal and as his friend.I have never met a finer human being. He gave copious  amounts of time and energy to helping his students friends and relatives whenever and however he could. Rest In Peace old friend.

I remember having Mr. Lonosky as a teacher at Owens Elementary School in the late 60's. He was firm with discipline, dedicated as a teacher and always a professional. We had a nice "little " school (Owens) and he was one of the better teachers.

I am very sad to hear of Mr. Lonosky's passing. He was a fantastic principal that always had a ready smile and really seemed to care about us kids. My son starts kindergarten at Tobin tomorrow and I hope the new principal is half as kind and dedicated as he was. Mr Lonosky was the first principal I ever had at Tobin school.  He was such a good, kind and fair man with a wonderful sense of humor and a good heart.  May his family be at peace.

Dear Lonosky Family,

I am sorry for your loss. Mr. Lonosky was my principal at Tobin in the 1970s and early 1980s. He was a good and fair man and he was well respected by students.

I will remember him for his kindness to my mother. She had simultaneous health struggles and discipline issues with my sibling who was also a student. While Mr. Lonosky could have just washed his hands of the mess, he showed compassion.
