Condolences from a friend from Galway ..... Long time ago.

I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. I knew him when he was in dental school. I am so very happy to know that he lived as long as he did, married Annie, and had a lovely family with her. My heart goes out to you all. God rest his very funny and adorable soul.

I was shocked to hear of Dr.McGowan's passing. He was a great dentist who made your appts very interesting! He used to crack me up....when he got "a new toy" for the office...a new piece of equipment..he couldn't wait to show you how it worked. It was very evident that he truly loved what he did...and made everyone that came into the office feel that same love!! You will be in our prayers!!!

Our fondest memories on South Tripp Street in Oak Lawn will go back to a happy little boy we all called "Frankie." Here was a boy whose Daddy -- John Francis, Sr. -- was "called home" to Almighty God far too early in a young wife and family's life.

And yet, thanks to a supportive Mother, loving brothers, a sister, uncles and aunties, the "boy" grew into quite a "man!"  God bless him and keep him; God bless, keep, and comfort the loved ones who remain. Amen!

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. McGowan, he was such a good man.  I was a patient of his for many years, and always loved chatting with him during appts.  He made going to the Dentist a pleasant experience, and was always joking and teasing me.  He treated you more like a friend then a patient, and really got to know each of his patients.  He will be greatly missed.  Your family is in my prayers during this difficult time.

So sad to hear this news.  Frank would spend the most of the appointment talking about family.  He was more like a brother than just your dentist. Lots of laughs in his office.  Even after moving an hour away, we would make the drive to his office.  You will be missed.
