Josephine “Babe” Fijolek, nee Galioto, beloved wife of the late John. Adoring mother of Mary Jo (Phil Smith) Joiner, John (Cheri), Barbara (Dave) Elam, Michael (Shirley), William (Leslie) and Richard (Betsy). Proud grandmother of Bryan (Lisa), Steven and Grant (Chelsea) Joiner, Kit (Natalie) and Cody (Jenni) Elam, Amber (Joe), Caitlin, Britany, Autumn, Zachary, Ian (Jessica), Jules (Katia), Cole, Jeffrey, Gregory and Allison Fijolek. Great grandmother of Lachlan. Dear sister of Delores (Bill) Curtis. Fond aunt of many. Jo was an amazing person, with great energy and humor. Her fondest memories were of her family’s spaghetti business. She met her husband of 50+ years while dancing and never stopped dancing. She ran a dress shop and later worked as a manager at Lane Bryant. She had 6 children in 8 years, was a bridge player and world traveler. The family thanks many for kindnesses in the past few years. Her children love and appreciate her for a wonderful family life. Visitation Tuesday 9:00AM until time of service 11:00AM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn.
