Joyce graduated from Hudson High School in Selma, Alabama in 1953. She later relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she married James Greene in 1957 and from this union came seven children, five daughters and two sons. This God-given gift indeed brought immense joy to Joyce’s heart as she realized that children are indeed a divine blessing. (Ps. 127:3)
In her sincere dedication to motherhood and loving devotion to her children, Joyce always went above and beyond the call of duty. Due to her strong sense of family, parenthood created in her a strength of character & determination to successfully instill in her children a reverence and respect for Jehovah and his word, as well as "good"moral character that would serve them well in life.
As an avid Bible reader, Joyce’s strong faith and love for God moved her to accept a bible study with Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1963 although raised as a Methodist. She thoroughly appreciated what she learned and grew to love Jehovah and his laws and developed a close, personal relationship with the true God. Consequently, Joyce made her dedication to Jehovah in 1990, maintaining her faithfulness to the very end. Hence, she and her family eagerly anticipate and await her dedication fulfillment in the earthly Paradise soon to come (John 5:28-29, Revelation 21:1-4)
