Lawrence Ronald Nevels

Lawrence Ronald Nevels from Hometown IL, passed away at the age 68. Born in Cambridge England, Larry grew up in Hometown. He returned to Hometown because of his dedication to the Hometown Fire Protection District, where he volunteered for several years. Larry also served as HFPD Trustee for 13 years until illness caused him step down.

Larry is survived by his wife Nancy. His daughters Sara K. Nevels & Erica M.(Michael) O’Donnell.

Sisters Barb (Tom) Antonik,Cindy (Greg) Nesypor, Kelly (Troy) Mitchell. Loving Uncle to Andrew, (Andrew Waltersdorf) Olivia, Collin , Evan (Brianna)and Ryan. Devoted Surrogate Grandfather to Oliver & Emily French.

He follows in death his parents Ronald and Virginia Nevels.

Larry was a man of service, devoting his life to police and fire; 911 dispatcher for Du-Comm, Orland Park & Oaklawn; Trustee to HFPD. He took great pride in improving service to the town he grew up in.

Larry's services are private and no flowers.
