Marie Christine Purtell

Marie Christine Purtell (nee Lagoni) age 82, of Crestwood, IL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 17, 2020. Beloved wife of 13 years to the late Thomas Daniel Purtell; Loving Mother to the late Thomas Purtell, Raymond (Stacia) Purtell, Karen (Rich) Wegg, Marcia (Jude Bradd) Causley; Cherished Gramma to Thomas (Kelly) Purtell, Brittany Purtell, Michael (Christopher) Segoviano, Mallory (Brendan) Murphy (nee Wegg), Christopher Purtell, Kyle Purtell, Alexis Segoviano, Vanessa Wegg, Meghan Purtell, Kelsey Wegg, Jack Sedivy, Kayla Younglove, and Nick Younglove; Great-gramma to Greyson Purtell.

Marie was a longtime active member of Incarnation Catholic Church for 60 years. Marie will be remembered for many things, one being an avid sports and diehard Packers fan, and her generosity. She often used her free time to crochet infant outfits that were donated to local hospitals, and made frequent donations to charitable organizations.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers to make a donation in Marie's name to one of those organizations that she held dear.
