Mary "Alice" Connor

Mary “Alice” Connor, nee Sebesta, age 88, passed away on March 21, 2022. Alice was born in Hot Springs, SD before moving to the Beverly Chicago area where she would spend most of her life. She was a longtime parishioner of the St. John Fisher Church Parish. Alice graduated from St. Xavier University’s School of Nursing where she would then go on to help others in their time of need as an ER Nurse at Mercy Hospital. She happily met her husband of over 45 years there, the late Jack Connor. Alice was a master quilter, avid watercolor painter, and crossword puzzle doer extraordinaire who had a passion for reading, her stitching group, and Bible Study. She will be missed by many.

She is the loving mother of Kevin (Kathy) Connor, Terri Brankin, Kathleen “Kacky” (Greg) Buell, and Pattie (Chris) Beem; Beloved grandmother of Laura, Danny (Kelsey), Brian (Brigid), Matt (fiancée Julia), Kate (Ryan), Dave (Grace), Allie (Jon), John, Rachel, Connor (fiancée Ashley), and Sam; Great-grandmother of Rosie, Riley, Killian, and Jack; Dear sister of James (Jean) Sebesta; Cherished Aunt Alice of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Bob Sebesta, and her parents, Alvin and Mae Sebesta.

Visitation for Alice will be from 3-8 PM on Wednesday, March 23, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W 103rd, Oak Lawn. Funeral to begin at Blake-Lamb on Thursday, March 24, at 9:15 AM, proceeding to St. John Fisher Church, 10235 S Fairfield Ave, Chicago, for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
