Mary Glaubitz (nee Kelly) age 95, at rest January 14, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Walter C. Glaubitz. Loving mother of Linda (Steve) Hagen, Walter J. (Carol) Glaubitz, Charles (Karen) Glaubitz, Lisa (Joe) Vincent. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (James) Danaher, Ryan, John (Maria), Kevin Hagen, Emily, Rachel, Katie Glaubitz, Sophia and Joey Glaubitz. Great grandmother of 8. Beloved sister-in-law of Susan Kelly of England. Aunt and great Aunt to many in England. Predeceased by brothers Charlie Kelly (of Ireland) and John Kelly (of England), and sisters Anne Toolan and Della Walls (both of England).
Mary was born in 1926 in the village of Treenfoughnane near the town of Bohola, Ireland, the eldest of 5 to John and Margaret Kelly. In 1945, Mary traveled to London, England where she received her nurses training and certification. She immigrated to Chicago in 1948. Upon her arrival to Chicago, she began a lifelong career in nursing, working several years at Michael Reese Hospital and later for many years at Peace Memorial Home in Evergreen Park. She was called upon many times to assist and comfort relatives and friends in need or near end of life.
A visitation will be held on Thursday January 20, 2022 at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home 4727 W. 103rd Street Oak Lawn, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday January 21, 2022 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church 10134 S. Longwood, Chicago, at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL.

Masks are required no outside food or drinks allowed.
