Melanie was born in Chicago to the late LeRoy and Wanda Marcianik (nee Pickham), where she lived most of her life. Melanie was the cherished mother of Nicole, Tony, Danielle (Mike), and Ashley (Daniel) and “Grandma Mel” to Robert, Jameson, Haleigh, and 6 fur-babies. Melanie was the second eldest, and beloved sister of Dawn (Dave), Jennifer, Lynda (Wally), Beth (Keith), and Brian and “Aunt Mel” to her many loved nieces and nephews.
Melanie was an avid coffee drinker who would do anything for a Starbuck’s Mocha Frappuccino. Ask her where she wanted to go out to eat and the answer was always, “Mexican food. A Pepe’s Fiesta E-18, and a side-order of guacamole, please”. She had a green-thumb that unfortunately did not pass along to her children. Melanie was not afraid of representing her own style. From eye shadow, blush, and lipstick to nail polish and fashion accessories, her rule was, “the bolder the color, the better”. She was a proud champion of her four children, was never afraid to let anyone know what was on her mind, loved her parents fiercely, and was a sucker for reality TV.
She will be one missed by many.
