

Michael Angelo Passarelli, 72, of Oak Lawn at rest March 11, 2021 after many years of multiple illnesses. Michael served honorably during the Viet Nam war in the US Army 160th HEM Co in Viet Nam (1967-69).
Loving son of the late George T. and Pauline Passarelli. Beloved father of Michelle and Michael; grandfather of William and Lillian; brother of Joyce (Darryl) Kirkland, Thomas (Sharon) and Camille (Chuck) Sladek; uncle to Tommy, Robert, George, Lara, Laurie, Terri, Mike, Eddie, Cori, Kelly; favorite brother-in-law of Steven Kuhlin, Sharon, Janet; cousin to many.
Michael grew up on Chicago's Taylor Street and was a talented baseball player in his youth. He graduated from St. Callistus grammar school in 1962 alongside his classmate cousins Mary Frances Signore, Paul Cioe, and Frank Passarelli, and graduated from St. Mel High School. After his service in Viet Nam, Michael worked at the First National Bank of Chicago for 24 years, later retiring from the US Post Office. He raised his family in the St. Germaine parish of Oak Lawn and was a long-time coach for Oak Lawn Girls Baseball. Michael was the ultimate Cubs fan and had a genuine love for baseball, making him an unofficial historian on anyone that ever wore blue.
The family invites you for Visitation Thursday March 25 from 3 PM to 8 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home 4727 W. 103rd. St., Oak Lawn; and Chapel prayers Friday March 26, 9:45 AM to St. Germaine Catholic Church 9711 S. Kolin Ave., Oak Lawn for 10:30 AM Mass. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside with full military honors. Luncheon immediately following at Alpine Banquet Haus.
