Lito was born November 17, 1934, in Siniloan Philippines to Pascual Valderrama and Rufina Rodenas. Being the eldest son of five children, his parents wanted him to be a doctor but he stuck to his convictions and graduated from Colegio de San Juan Letran with a finance degree. While working at Builders Life Assurance Company, he met Remedios (Remy), who he married more than 50 years ago. He was the father of two children Manuel Victor (Olette) & Maria Patricia (Peachy) and “Lolo” to six grandchildren.
Lito, Remy and Peachy moved to the United States in 1987 and made the Chicago area their new hometown where he enjoyed time with so many family and friends.
His interests included WWII military jeeps, classic cars, classic movies, and Frank Sinatra songs. He was a big fan of the Chicago Bulls basketball team, even when they didn’t win. On any given day he can be found in the garage working on his cars trying to keep them running.
Remy, his sisters, Cely & Annie and brother, Vic, survive Lito. He was preceded in death by his sister Lody.
We will miss him and his quiet smile that always let you know he was happy to see you.
