Mildred "Millie" Jacob

Mildred I. "Millie" Jacob, age 94 of Chicago IL, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born June 19, 1918 in Chicago where she lived until 2010 when she moved to live with her son, Roy, in Texas. Millie was the oldest child of Bruno and Hattie Sniegowski. In 1946, she married her childhood sweetheart, Frank S. Jacob. She is survived by her sons, Roy (Annemarie) Jacob of Kingwood, TX and Dennis (Cheryl) Jacob of Burbank, IL; granddaughters, Carrie and Kayla Jacob; sisters, Dorothy (late James) Caffarella of Oak Lawn, IL and Lucille Bocian of Palos Park, IL; brother, Bruno "Ray" (Grace) Sniegowski of Nevada; and 10 nieces and nephews. Millie is preceded in death by her husband, Frank and a granddaughter, Jennifer.

A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 am, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 6435 South Kilbourn Avenue, Chicago, IL 60629. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Blake & Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Chicago or the Humane Society of the United States.
