

Passed away peacefully Tuesday July 1st, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Sr. and Dorothy Higgins. She is survived by her beloved partner, Richard Elli. Loving mother of James (Ericka) Trevino Jr, Kelly (Daniel) Good, Beth (Michael) Baiardo, James (Stepanie) Stenson. Beloved 'Nama' of Colin, Quinn, Amelia, Sofia, Leonardo, Stella, Benjamin, and Alexander. Cherished sister of Francis (Debbie) Higgins. Beloved aunt of Kim (Dennis) Sampson, Heather (John) Wallisch, Martin (Jolene) Schlossman, Katie Higgins, and Daniel (Yoko) Higgins, many grand nieces and nephews, and a dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon (Martin Sr.) Schlossman.
Nancy was a retired Railroad Conductor of the Union Pacific Railroad (formerly Chicago and North Western) and a proud member of the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (formerly United Transportation Union) for over 30 years.
Nancy loved to travel and shop for ‘treasures’ wherever she could find them. She also enjoyed researching family genealogy and was an avid pet lover. She was survived by her Australian Shepherd, ‘Zippy’.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Following the visitation will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St Christina Catholic Church, 3342 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655. Interment Private
