Peggy was a classmate from Western Michigan. It was a small tight knot group as we  went through the vision program  in 1977. I am sure all would  agree  Peggy was the optimist of the group, trying to coordinate activities both social and academic. Her  energy as  her laughter were infectious characteristics no one could deny. It appears from the comment   made on this blog that never waned.   I recall a visit Peggy made here to Rochester after graduation and our visit to  her wedding to Aurelio. Laraine and I weep for  her family  but  revel in the person that she was. So sorry to hear of Peggy's passing. She was a lovely kind lady and I am glad to have met her.

Peggy was in my O&M class at Western Michigan. She was creative, fun and loved planning activities for our group. She and several of our class spent a few days at my parents farm in Mercer Co. Illinois and she had such fun looking at the pigs and cows and riding my horse.  I have many fond memories of that time.  She will be missed and everyone was blessed to know her

Peggy graced my English and Religion classes with her determined spirit and excellent intellect. May her angel wings bring her close to the heart of Our Blessed Mother. Sympathy to her husband and children and other family members. Continued prayers for her.

This is a loss to her family, friends, and to the profession she loved.  I had the pleasure of working with Peggy on various projects as well as enjoying our conversations.  Her passing makes my memories even more precious.

Peggy was one of my roommates at Western Michigan and was a true delight!
I'll never forget her humor or her love of family.  She loved her profession and I'm sure her clients loved her.

I am very sorry for your loss.  I can still see a young Peggy in her face.  My memories are of St. Louis School and many happy times with Maureen.

I am so very sad to hear this news. I remember her leadership, quick smile, laughter, and kindness. Peggy touched so many lives, she has certainly touched mine.

When Peggy was president of AER, I was still a member and served on committees under her presidency! At one AER International Conference she presided, I was one of her "Blues Brothers" body guards :) !! When I became executive director of AER in 2011, Peggy, as a past president of AER was so encouraging and supportive of me. My condolences to her wonderful family. Lou Tutt.

I went to grammar school with Peggy. She was a warm and caring person. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

It's been eight years since I worked with Peggy. I've been in Seattle so didn't even know that she was sick! I feel so saddened to learn of her loss both to her friends and family and to the students and colleagues who loved her so dearly. I greatly enjoyed working with Peggy because of her warmth, intelligence and humor.  I loved her songs. We were all so lucky to have known her!

My condolences to the family. I still remember in grammar school we all had to give a speech in front of the class; Her's was about being nervous and kept looking at the clock and counting down the seconds till her time was up.

I loved Peggy & learned so much from her.  Her sense of humor helped me thru many difficult times. Once, during an AER board meeting, the discussion was so hot & heavy & involved that we called a break.  When I returned from break, there was a plastic frog in my water glass...Peggy's attempt to lighten my load & the atmosphere.  It struck a chord with all of us.  From that moment on, the frog became our mascot...and still brings a smile to my face.

I know you must all be hurting now...because there is simply no way to replace someone like Peggy...but I'm guessing, knowing her, that she installed light & pleasant memories in all your lives that you can access & cherish.

Such talent, so much wisdom, so incredibly creative, a master teacher, such laughter, a musical soul, a warm and loving human being. How we will miss her. My heart aches for those who never had the opportunity to have Peggy in their life. For those of us who shared some space with her.....we are truly blessed.
