Beloved wife of 58 years to Edmund Beazley; Loving mother to Nancy (Justin), Ed (Nadia), Beth, Jeanette, and Julie (Morgan); Cherished grandmother to Michael (Emily), Julia, the late Emily, Olivia, Ethan, Gabriella, Rowan, Henry, and Callen; Loved by her brother, Raoul (Maria), and her Italian family, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Renata was born in Rome, Italy, December 1943. She came to Chicago at the age of 16 alongside her mother, Gioconda.
In her early twenties, Renata worked downtown Chicago for Morton Salt. She soon met her lifelong partner, Ed, and they married in 1968. She spent the next decades raising her family and welcoming the friends of her children into her home. Renata was legendary for her cooking, especially Italian food, and making people feel loved around her table. Her motto was, “You need to feed the people!”
As her children grew up and entered school, Renata took that same energy to downtown Chicago working in the accounting department for the Aon Corporation. Her family affectionately called her "Downtown Renata", a nickname she wore with pride. She thrived in the city: riding the train, walking the bustling streets, and shopping during her lunch hour.
A devoted Catholic, Renata was a dedicated member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Petronille Catholic Parish in Glen Ellyn, IL. Her faith was not just something she practiced, it was something she lived.
Renata was a one-of-a-kind wife, mom, and grandma who always put her family before herself. She will be missed more than words can say but her memory will be carried on through the lives of the people she shaped and loved.
Visitation will take place at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Committal Service will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 6001 W. 111th Street in Alsip, IL.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Baldricks in loving memory of her beloved granddaughter, Emily Beazley, a light taken too soon, and forever in our hearts. https://www.stbaldricks.org/hero-funds/emilybeazley/
