In October 1935, Stephanie and her identical twin sister Lydia were born to Kamilla Paukson and Jaan Volmer. During the period of WWII, the multigenerational Volmer and Paukson family of women and children migrated to Chicago. Stephanie met her dear husband of 63 years, Joseph Depre. They raised their family of 3 boys in Evergreen Park. Extended family was central to daily life.
Stephanie is survived by her sons Andrew (Kathleen) and Paul (Michealene) and daughter in law Alexis (late Joseph Jr.) Depre. The absolute joy of her life were her grandchildren, Kathryn (Rob), Joseph III (Alex), Zachary Depre, Kristina (Garet Wimmer) Jessica (Keith Eberhardt), Danielle, Joanne (Catie Fahey) Depre, Paul Jr and Emily Depre. Neices Julie Dahlke, Suzanne Kelly and Jennifer Kolodiejczyk and many grand nieces and nephews and dear cousin Helen Mansfield and sister in law Liz (John) Rettig, brothers in law John (late Cyndia) Depre and Tony (Pat) Depre. Most cherished twin sister Lydia (late Danny) Blanda preceded her death. Stephanie found true purpose, life, love and joy through her family. We are all eternally grateful for her daily love and care in our lives.
