Vera V Divinity

Vera followed her siblings to Chicago IL in 1960. Where she would start her career at The Department of Human Services-The State of Illinois in 1971 up until she became ill in 2009.

Vera confessed Christ at an early age and baptized at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church. She attended St. Mark Missionary Baptist church where she served on the Comfort Ministry. When she became ill and shut in, she continued to follow Gods word through broadcast.

Vera was a God-fearing woman who lived her life with strength, grace, and quiet determination. She was known to be gentle and caring, yet also funny and stern when the moment called for it. Vera had a special way of loving people deeply while keeping them in line. She fought bravely until the very end, showing a level of resilience and courage that will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, located at 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL, 60453, on February 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on February 21, 2026.

Interment will take place at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL, 60453, from 12:45 pm to 1:00 pm on February 21, 2026.
