Vincent Eugene Doherty, age 83, of Port Orange, FL, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. He is survived by his loving children: Brian A. Doherty, Scott J. Doherty, Keith M. (Paula) Doherty, Kathleen E. (Paul F.) Balacek and Mark V. Doherty; dear grandson, Steve R. Doherty; beloved Westie, Mac; sister, Sheila (late John) Carey; sisters-in-law: Pauline Doherty and Penny Doherty; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan B. Doherty; parents: Martin and Alice Doherty; siblings: Tom (June) Doherty, Marty (Mary) Doherty, Jack (Chris) Doherty, Jerry (Pat) Doherty, Kevin Doherty, Anna Mae (Ronnie) Michaels and Bernie Doherty.
Vincent proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman who loved antique automobiles and military history. He loved spending time with family, especially his beloved dogs. Vincent will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home (2747 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL). Rev. Ryan Brady officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
