William Patrick McDonald, age 97, of Evergreen Park, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Beloved husband of 51 years to Jeanne (nee Marks) McDonald. William is preceded in death by his parents James and Jane (nee Doyle) McDonald. Loving father of eight sons and one daughter; proud grandfather of twenty one and great grandfather of three. Fond brother of Jeannette Smith of Nederland CO.
A WWII Army veteran. Bill was a graduate of Creighton University. A lifelong chemical engineer. He enjoyed music, art, working outdoors and was an avid reader.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Funeral Friday, July 25, 2025, prayers from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Church, 9525 S. Lawndale, Evergreen Park, Il. Interment Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
