Charles Fimbres was called home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2026.
Charles was born on July 23, 1950, in Calexico, California, to Corky and Margaret (Tamayo) Fimbres. He graduated from Calexico High School in 1968 and soon after began his journey through life with determination and purpose.
Charles fell in love with and married Judy Benton on December 5, 1970. Together, they welcomed three children: Matthew Fimbres (Ceci), Gabriel Fimbres (Lorena), and Carleena Peterssen (Donald), as well as his beloved goddaughter, Lisa Estrada.
Charles was deeply proud of his grandchildren, Matthew Fimbres, Army Sergeant Myles Fimbres, and Briana Fimbres.
Charles was known for his strong work ethic during his 37 years of service with SDG&E; a career he loved and where he made lifelong friends.
Charles is also survived by his sisters and brother, who held a special place in his heart: Norma Lizarraga, Lynda Orduña (Juan), Judy Bird (Richard), and Gabriel Fimbres.
Charles leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will live on through generations.
