

Clint Jerry Crockett, Jr. was born on a snowy day on September 20, 1983 in Livingston, Montana. In November, 1985, his family moved to Escondido, California where he attended school at Juniper Elementary School, Hidden Valley Middle School and Orange Glen High School. While Clint was growing up, sports were his passion. He played Escondido Pop Warner Football on the Mighty Might, Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junior Midget and Midget teams. Clint also played Little League Baseball on the Escondido American and Mountain View National teams from T-Ball through Majors. He made the All Stars twice and lost two teeth when he was hit in the face with a baseball. In high school, Clint played football on the freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. During his junior year, Clint lettered in Varsity Football as an offensive center. During his senior year, Clint sustained a knee injury requiring surgery. While in high school, Clint also participated in the Naval Junior ROTC for three years.
After Clint graduated high school, he completed his general education requirements at Palomar Junior College. Clint received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, cum laude, on May 16, 2009 from Cal State San Marcos. In June, 2010, Clint began pursuing his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security at the University of Phoenix.
Throughout Clint’s life, he was always very goal oriented and driven to work hard. Consequently, he did not wait until he was 16 to get his first job. Clint went to work at McDonald’s at the age of 15 ½. After working at McDonald’s, Clint worked at Target, Lowes and Albertson’s. At Albertson’s, he started out as a bagger. After being promoted to a cashier, during his almost ten years of employment he worked in most of the departments including deli, meat, bakery, produce, dairy, liquor, grocery and customer service. Clint worked his way up to a front-end manager and he was the youngest employee to be promoted to a Fifth-Key Grocery Manager.
Clint’s vast interests included national and international politics, sports, fishing in local lakes and in Alaska, Star Wars, computers, computer gaming, movies and restoring his 1965 El Camino. His favorite football teams were the San Francisco 49ERS and the University of Alabama Football. Clint was very patriotic and was a supporter of the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
Clint was a loving, intelligent, sensitive, loyal, ambitious, witty and generous son, step-son, brother, step-brother, grandson and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
