Mother of his children was Josephine (Chavez) Balich. David worked in masonry for North County Custom Cement, which he proudly owned, and operated. He was a member of The Laborers Union Local #89 and had a passion for golfing, fishing, horse racing and loved playing at the local casino with his daughters and friends.
He is preceded in death by Charles Castro.
He is survived by: James Castro, Dolly Graciano-Hird, Alberto Castro, Peggy Daniel, Julia Apodaca, Elena Renteria, Juanita South, Anna Castro, Marcelino Castro, Alice Camberos, Christine Serrato, many nephews, nieces, twenty-two grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm, November 30, 2012 at Eternal Hills in Oceanside, California.
