Elsa Morales

She was born on Thursday, October 1, 1931 in El Paso, Texas, a daughter of Ernestina Rodriguez and Geronimo Garcia.

Elsa was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Juan Cruz Morales; seven sisters, Amparo, Ana Maria, Estefania, Gloria, Juanita, Sofia and Zulema; and three brothers, Armando, Luis Alfonso and Oscar.

She was a member of the Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, a devoted homemaker, and a beloved mother. She was a high school majorette. Throughout her life she enjoyed singing in the church choir and raising a happy and healthy family.

Elsa is survived by one daughter and five sons, Judith Ann Morales-Chavez of Oceanside, Luis Lawrence Morales of Oceanside, John Cruz Morales of Oceanside, Thomas Morales of Carlsbad, Nicholas Morales of Vista, and Steven Morales of Fallbrook; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Rebecca Vasquez of San Diego; and one brother, Geronimo Garcia of Las Vegas. She also leaves countless other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Eternal Hills Memorial in Oceanside.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Oceanside. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills.
