She was born to Osmundo Evangelista Sr. and Esperanza A. Evangelista on January 27, 1938 in Villasis, Pangasinan in the Philippines. Ester was the second eldest of her siblings: Raymunda I. Gutierrez, Osmundo Evangelista Jr. and Moses Evangelista, all of whom have already passed. She was married to Ruperto P. Finez Sr. who has already passed. She is survived by her children: Rouel, Estinelie, Ruperto Jr., Ricky Roger, Rhuderick, Raymund, Esterlita and Estrella, 22 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Ester was a caregiver, not only by profession, but in her life as well. She dedicated herself to providing for her family, both in the States and back home in the Philippines. After she retired from caring for the elderly, she spent her golden years helping to raise her grandchildren. A loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Above all, Ester was a devoted and proud Christian, and a true member of the Church Of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo).
A viewing will be held to honor her memory, and is scheduled for February 10th & 11th, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary and Crematory located at 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054.
