
Florence was born on June 14, 1919 in Tacoma, WA. She married her high school sweetheart, Ford, on September 19, 1941. They moved to Oceanside in 1965. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Ford Willey Jr. and her Granddaughter Andrea Florence Trevino. She is survived by her sons, H. Ford Willey III of Tacoma, WA. Robert Willey of Oceanside, granddaughter: Dr. Michele Sharon Willey of Boston, MA; Sean Patrick Willey of Ocenside: Gretchen Thea Willey, of San Diego; Heather Anne Willey, of Vista and Robert Ford Willey, of Carlsbad. Great granchildren: Desarae, Marcos and Connor Trevino of Leavenworth, WA.
Florence was active in the Tri City Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary for over 40 years, serving as president in 1974-75. She was also an avid golfer and member at El Camino County Club, winning the Ladies Club Championship in 1980. Her activities were cut short due to Macular Degeneration of both eyes in the mid 90's.
In accordance with Florence's request, no services will be held and her remains will be scattered in the Puget Sound along with her loving husband's. The family suggests memorial donations in her name to the Tri City Hospital Foundation, 4002 Vista Way, Oceanside, California 92056 or the Braille Institute, 4555 Executive Dr., San Diego, Ca. 92121.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
