Frances Shepherd

On the evening of July 19th, Frances Shepherd crossed over to be with our Lord and Savior. Frances was born on July 9th, 1950 and had just turned 60 years old. At the time of her passing, she lived with her husband in Oceanside, CA.

Frances was predeceased by her parents, Catherine Howell Kirby and Walter Lee Kirby, a brother James Kirby of Japan, Henry Lee Kirby of Pennsylvania. She is survived by her husband Nathpolon Shepherd, her two sons Patrick Shepherd and Anthony Shepherd. She has a sister Archie Mae Granderson and spouse of California, and three brothers Forrest Kirby and wife Jessie Rue, John Wayne Kirby, and her twin brother Frank Kirby and wife Pat, all residing in Florida. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

After leaving Lake Wales, Florida in 1967 to live with Archie Mae Granderson, Frances attended high school in Riverside. She later attended the University of California at Riverside and later met her future husband thru their mutual friend, Emma Lee. On October 17th 1970, Frances and Nathpolon became husband and wife. Her husband was in the military so she had the ability to travel very frequently to different places in the United States. Frances worked in various careers but the one she loved the most was her Grocery Store Manager position at Camp Pendleton, CA. She worked at the PX for 13 years and civil service for 15 years. She loved her work and over the years made numerous friends.

Frances was very proud of her children and the accomplishments they had made. She was happiest when she was with her children and for her 60th birthday this year, she was able to celebrate the day with her 2 sons, Patrick and Anthony.

Frances life was simple and uncomplicated. She did whatever she could to help others, whenever she could. She loved to entertain friends and family with her cooking abilities. She was always there for her children whenever they needed him or her truly loved her family and friends.

She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
