Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his father, Harry Hawkins, and mother, Blanche Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Rumiko Hawkins, daughter, Kimberly Moore, sons, Steven Hawkins, Darryl Hawkins, Terence Hawkins, Masher Hawkins, Gerald Hawkins Jr., relatives, and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Eternal Hills Memorial Chapel in Oceanside, California.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 10:00 am at Eternal Hills Memorial Chapel in Oceanside, California.
Mr. Hawkins final resting place will be in Yokohama, Japan.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
