

Linda Sue Stewart, age 83 from Carlsbad, California passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Tri City Medical Center. She was born in Bell, California to her parents, Frank and Hazel Stewart on November 14,1940 and attended schools in Lynwood, California, graduating from Lynwood High School in 1958. Upon graduation she began working at Pacific Bell Telephone where she retired after 32 years. Linda moved to Downey, California with her parents in 1966, and then to Carlsbad with her mother shortly after her retirement where she lived for 30 years. She and her mother did extensive traveling; loved cruises; attended Padre baseball games; played bingo and bunco; and played the slots at Las Vegas and local casinos. Linda loved watching college and professional football games, college basketball games, professional baseball games, and the College Baseball World Series. She attended many Florida baseball spring training games in Tampa, Clearwater, Lakeland, and Orlando, and went to Omaha, Nebraska for the Baseball College World Series. She was an avid Dodger fan until moving to Carlsbad and then became a die-hard Padre fan and Aztec football fan. She loved going out to breakfast with her friends and her cousin, Betty.
Linda is survived by her sister Sally Brown; her brother Michael Stewart; sister-in-law, Donna Stewart; nieces Danielle Watkins, Meghan Luongo, and Kris Wallace; nephew Jim Brown. She had many grand nieces and nephews and rarely missed sending birthday wishes to them. She was a loving and kind person who will be missed by those her knew and loved her.
