Maria Betancourt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished matriarch, Maria Betancourt, on October 11, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on December 27, 1933, in Cuspala, Jalisco, Mexico, she lived a life full of love, faith, and devotion to her family, friends, and God.

Maria Betancourt raised seven children, one of whom preceded her in death. Her legacy lives on through her twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, who will forever cherish her stories, jokes, and most especially, the lessons she imparted. Maria Betancourt was a devoted Catholic; she was wise; she had a beautiful way of connecting with people. She was a source of strength and wisdom for her family.

Her vibrant spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. We celebrate her life and the love she shared, knowing that her spirit will live on in our hearts.

Please join us for her memorial services on October 28-29. We invite you to wear any shade of blue, her favorite color. The viewing will be held at Eternal Hills on October 28th from 4:00-8:00pm. Mass will be held on October 29th at St. Patrick's Church at 11:00am with the burial immediately following at Eternal Hills. Following the burial, there will be a reception to celebrate her life at Pine Avenue Community Center from 2:00-5:00pm.

Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida matriarca, María Betancourt, el 11 de octubre de 2024, a la edad de 90 años. Nacida el 27 de diciembre de 1933 en Cuspala, Jalisco, México, vivió una vida llena de amor, fe y devoción a su familia, a sus amigos y a Dios.

María Betancourt crió a siete hijos, uno de los cuales falleció antes que ella. Su memoria sigue viva a través de sus veintiséis nietos, treinta y dos bisnietos y un tataranieto, quienes siempre recordarán sus cuentos, sus chistes y, sobre todo, sus enseñanzas. María Betancourt era una católica devota, era sabia y tenía una hermosa manera de conectarse con la gente. Fue una fuente de fortaleza y sabiduría para su familia.

Su gran espíritu tocó la vida de muchas personas y todos los que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla la extrañarán profundamente. Celebramos su vida y el amor que compartió con todos, sabiendo que su espíritu vivirá en nuestros corazones.

Acompáñenos para sus servicios el 28 y 29 de octubre. Los invitamos a vestirse de cualquier tono de azul, su color favorito. El velorio se llevará a cabo en Eternal Hills el 28 de octubre de las 4:00 hasta las 8:00 de la tarde. La misa se llevará a cabo el 29 de octubre en la iglesia de San Patricio a las 11:00 de la mañana y el entierro será inmediatamente después en Eternal Hills. Después del entierro, habrá una recepción para celebrar su vida en Pine Avenue Community Center de las 2:00 hasta las 5:00 de la tarde.
