Maria de la Luz Ramirez Martinez

Maria De La Luz Ramirez Martinez departed this earthly life unexpectedly, yet peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th, 2022, at her residence. She was only 75 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death.

Maria was born on January 07, 1946, in Guadalajara, Mexico, to her parents, Silvestre Ramirez Zuniga and Candelaria Cibrian. She grew up with her three siblings, Sister Francisca Ramirez and two brothers Silvestre and Raul Ramirez, and immigrated at a young age to Los Angeles, Ca, and settled in Oceanside, Ca.

She is survived by her two children, Guillermo Martinez, and Adela Martinez. She is forever cherished and will be remembered by her grandchildren, Patrick, Isaac, Evan, Andrew, Angelina, and a little Angel that she was extremely excited to know would be arriving soon.

Through the years, Maria enjoyed spending time cooking for her family and making friends wherever she went. Maria was a very hard worker and overcame the challenges of being a working mother and wife, while juggling multiple jobs in a single day. She did her upmost best to balance her time between working part-time as a Substitute Food Service Worker at various schools within the Oceanside School District, as well as providing Home Care and being a Housekeeper to many. She was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, and challenges of those around her. Maria was known to be the life of every party. She loved to crochet, play Loteria, celebrate all the holidays and never passed up the opportunity to dance to a good Cumbia.

All services will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary and Crematory, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054

The Viewing for Maria will be held in the Chapel on Friday, January 13 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will also be offered in the Chapel on Saturday, January 14, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the Burial from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Reception, celebrating Maria's Life proceeding the services in the Mortuary's Reception Hall on Saturday, January 14 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
