Mary Ellen Butorac passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 77.
Mary was born on September 15, 1947. She graduated from Nerinx Hall High School and went on to earn her degree from Michigan State University. For 20 years, she served as a Friendly Minister at Mission San Luis Rey Parish, where she supported members of the community with compassion and care.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph John. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, as well as many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
A committal service will be held at Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery on May 23 at 3:00 PM.
Mary will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her church.
