Meki Walker Gaono Sr, 89 years old, of Oceanside, CA. Passed away January 16, 2021. Meki was born on June 18, 1931 in Lalofau, American Samoa, but raised in Afono, American Samoa. On October 19, 1996, he married Tuaupua in Samoa. He retired from the United States Marine Corp and also retired as a civil service worker at Naval Base Hospital on Camp Pendleton. Meki lived in Oceanside for 60 plus years. Meki served as an elder Deacon at Grace Full Gospel Ministry since 2004. His favorite hobbies included coin collecting, traveling, eating at the Chinese buffets and spending time with his family and church members.
He is survived by his wife Tuaupua Gaono, sons Methodist, Meki and To'a, his daughters, Tua and Lola, 5 grand daughters, 6 great grandchildren and a whole lot of extended children. Due to covid 19, funeral services have not been set as right now.
