Patricia (Pat) Ann Tabor, 85, of Oceanside, passed on August 15, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 8, 1929 in Wellington, Kansas to Lorenzo and Leatha Plumb. Pat is survived by her sister Nancy Plumb, who lives is Gladstone, MO.
After her retirement from Northrop in 1993 Pat moved to Oceanside. Pat enjoyed animals and gardening. Her passion for animals led way to opportunities in which she tirelessly volunteered at the former North County Humane Society in Oceanside for the last 17 years. Pat was very involved with fund raising efforts and as a dog walker. Her love for animals led her to foster many litters of kittens until they were old enough and healthy enough to be adopted to new homes. Pat also fostered many dogs until they were successfully adopted. She has been the proud owner of her own pets, including cats and dogs. Pat was very generous to many animal welfare organizations and also had the opportunity to visit Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT in 2013. She also enjoyed being a member of the Oceanside Newcomers Club since 1994.
Arrangements for her cremation are by Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside. Per Pat’s request, no service is being held, but memories of her will never be forgotten.
