Philo Coleman Farnsworth

We are sad to let you know that our father, Philo C. Farnsworth, passed away on Saturday, December 22nd, 2012. He died peacefully, around 5:15 AM. Dad was 90 years old and like many of his generation, he was a WWII and Korean War Navy veteran, and he lived a long and fruitful life.

A viewing will be conducted on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Eternal Hills Mortuary located at 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California 92054.

A graveside funeral will be conducted on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery, 600 North 500 East, in Beaver, Utah, where Dad will be buried next to our mother, Julie L. Farnsworth, who passed away June 29, 2012.

If cold or snowy weather conditions warrant (which is very likely), this service will be conducted at the Swindlehurst Funeral Home located at 360 West 100 North, Beaver, Utah 84713, with burial immediately thereafter.

We are sending you this letter to let you know that our parents have passed away and that your friendship and support towards them has been very much appreciated. As is frequently the case, long-time married couples pass away within a short time of each other. For our Dad, who has struggled with very difficult health issues for many years, his passing is sad for us but also brings us a sense of grateful relief on his behalf that he can now be with our mother and many of our family members who have gone before us.
