

She met and married her husband, Luis Castillo Medina in her home town. She later followed him to United States, as he was an immigrant worker in the Bracero's Work Program. Later, she immigrated to the United States in 1965, became a US Citizen. She was a home maker and worked jointly with her husband for approximately for approximately 25 years of her life in the Carlsbad-Strawberry/Tomato Fields in Carlsbad, California for the Ukeawa Brothers Company.
She lived a life full of love from her immediate family, extended family and friends. She enjoyed gardening at her homes in Carlsbad, California and Oceanside California, where she raised her children. Her most important achievements in life were her marriage and her children.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughters, Teresa (Medina) Moreno, Consuelo (Medina) Romero, sons, Roberto P Medina, Luis P Medina, Ruben P Medina, and sister, Celia Perez She was additionally blessed to have spent time sharing her life with her 31 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and extended relatives.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Refugio Perez and mother, Maria Refugio Ochoa and her brother, Herminio Perez.
Ma......Abuelita...Rafaelita.....Nina....or Senora Medina as she was known to many will be deeply missed.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Eternal Hill Memorial Chapel in Oceanside, California.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, California.
Mrs Medina's final resting place will be along side her husband at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, California
Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
