

Roland Thomas Nash was born on January 2, 1952 in St Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, New York. He born a twin to Mary Ellen . He also had three other siblings Pat, Tom and Joan. He attended St. Andrew Avellino Catholic grammar school in Flushing New York and went on to Holy Cross High School where he played football and ran track. Known to many as "The Flashman", a name he received for having very fast hands in boxing. Ron had learned to box at a very young age from his oldest brother Pat. A very good athlete and excelled at all sports. Ron could learn anything he put his mind to and do it well. He loved music and could play many instruments especially he loved playing the guitar to all who would listen especially for his family and grandchildren. Ron was a New York City Fireman for 20 years a job he loved and was proud to do. He also served in the Army National Guard. His family was the most important to him. He is survived by his wife Ellen and two children Kelly and Sean their spouse's Dustin and Jillian and his two grandchildren D.J and Julia Who he loved with all his heart who he saw every day. Ron leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Everyone whose lives he touched will miss and dearly remember "The Flashman".
